Short Path Molecular Distillation is mainly suitable for high boiling point, temperature resistant, high molecular weight, and high viscosity materials such as lactic acid, VE, fish oil, dimer acid, trimer acid, silicone oil, fatty acid, dibasic acid, linoleic acid, linseed oil acid, glycerin, fatty acid ester, essential oil, isocyanate, isobutyl ketone, polyethylene glycol, cyclohexanol, etc.
The equipment is designed for distillation operations under high vacuum. Short Path Molecular Distillation Equipment comes in three forms based on the viscosity of the material: wiper, sliding wiper, and hinged wiper, each with different types of scrapers.
The following items need to be checked daily:
1.Check if the cooling water inlet and outlet valves are properly open and if the pressure is normal.
2.Check if the inlet and outlet valves for the cooling water of each component are in the open position.
3.The equipment is heated with hot oil at high temperatures, so avoid contact to prevent burns.
4.Check if there is enough ethanol in the low-temperature thermostat bath.
5.Ensure there is sufficient liquid nitrogen in the liquid nitrogen tank.
6.Check if the cold trap and the equipment are properly connected.
The differential pressure between the boiling film and the condensation surface is the driving force for vapor flow, resulting in a slight pressure of vapor flow. It requires a very short distance between the boiling surface and the condensation surface, so distillation equipment based on this principle is called Short Path Molecular Distillation Equipment.
